UTD FOCUS
The Getaway / Fall Camp (Oct 4-5)

Community Time
A couple of our core girls joined Devereaux and I to camp! We worshiped, learned about Godly friendships, and how to be a part of community.

Having Fun
We got to play recreational games with our friends and bond together as a community!

Wrapping Up Sermons
We got to sit through friendship sermons and workout our personal conflicts when it comes to relationships. It was refreshing to be called higher!

UTD Group!
We had over 220 students come from UTD to fall camp! We not only got to learn but have fun together!
Kaylee’s Baptism

Meet Kaylee! One of our core (small group) girls! She got baptized on October 12th!

It was beautiful to gather with her family & friends, witnessing her make the profession that Jesus is Lord!
Hangouts
HANGOUTS
Spending time with people not only helps you learn from one another, but you get you be a shoulder to cry on and/or cheer each other to the Lord!

Hangout w/ Tinsey
We got to go to a nearby waterfall to experience resting with God for a core exercise!

Briley’s Birthday
We celebrated Briley’s birthday and gather together as friends!

Hangout w/ Micah
We got to hangout and get to know each other’s faith background!
Ryan and I are engaged!
My fiance and I have been together for over 2.5 years. A journey that started out as UTD students who were a part of FOCUS has now become one where we pursue our calling in campus ministry!
We are excited to embark on this new chapter of our adventure as an engaged couple!
We would love y’all’s prayers as we continue to put Him first!

A Final Note
Lessons Learned In October
We’ve redefined faith by merit not by doing
Faith is not through checking off boxes by seeming more righteous but through actions that result out of trust in the Lord.
We’re perfect for what God wants to do.
Yes we’re sinners. Yes we’re imperfect. However, for a God who is really really really good, we can assume that his plans are really really really good. That makes us, his planned creations, really really really good for His plans.
What’s our personal, customized walk with God?
Comparison is the thief of joy. How do we steward the cards we have been dealt? How do our actions reflect our intent to be closer to Him than before?
“But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not ‘Yes’ and ‘No.’ For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me and Silas and Timothy—was not ‘Yes’ and ‘No,’ but in him it has always been ‘Yes.‘” 2 Corinthians 1: 18-19 NIV
