Starting Core!

Labor Day Hangout

Devereaux (my Co-Fa) and I got the opportunity to have a legally blonde and taco night during Labor Day to get to know some of gals who stayed back on campus. We got to see glimpses of how the culture of our small group will be! The girls are sweet and vulnerable with deep spiritual backgrounds.

CORE!

Devereaux and I had an amazing start to this year as Co-Fas (Core Facilitators). One of the girls hosted our first core at her dorm! Their vulnerability and eagerness to get to know each other had truly been a learning moment for me!

Their stories not only helped me see the importance of community emphasized by God, but the beauty in seeing their growth into early adulthood.

Getting Deeper

PROMISE MAKING CORE

One of cores was about promise keeping!

While the culture of the core has been silly, vulnerable, and deep, Devereaux and I aimed to grow their friendships beyond the weekly meetings. While things are exciting, tough conversations and circumstances are bound to occur in friendships. Therefore, the promise making core aided in the girls coming together to understand the true meaning of Godly friendships while understanding the necessity to be consistent with each other.

Ever since then, they have stayed longer past core time to talk about their lives to ask for help and to give each other advice while making weekly plans to hangout! I am grateful to see the initiative the girls take toward God and community!

Getting to Know Their Loved Ones

It has been an honor to not only know the girls but their loved ones as well! It is lovely to see how they’re open let me into their lives!

The Apprentices!

2025-2026 Apprentices at FOCUS

I really love my fellow apprentices! Not only have we grown in knowing each other but also in sharing our ups and downs as apprentices. It is an honor serving our community with these amazing people who share the same dream to love Jesus and share His love with others!

Prayers & Lessons

Prayers

I am so grateful for everyone’s support in this ministry journey! I am 74% of the way to my goal in fundraising and I am thankful for everyone’s prayers and support!

I would love prayers on:

  • Being available so that I can see where God’s working and join Him

  • Seeking opportunities on growing the girls and holding them accountable to the word

  • Navigating through the relational work along with rest
